Nancy J Martin's 365 Quilt Blocks a Year Perpetual Calendar has been staring at me for a year. I must admit it is intimidating. I want to learn a lot of the blocks found here....so here goes. Starting January 1st I will be making one block a day, sometimes two if I miss a day. I have been collecting red and white fabrics for the blocks---one of the intimidating parts is trying to figure out what color I want the blocks to be---I decided they will all be variations of red and white. Some of them are 6", 9", 12" so it will be interesting what I can put together into actual quilt(s) at the end of the year, but this is for practice and experience so that is secondary. My challenge in piecing has always been accuracy so this is my goal to overcome sloppiness. I don't have a camera...I borrow my daughter's, so I don't know if I will post pics daily or weekly...we will see how it goes.
Other plans include enjoying family, friends, and sunsets. Along with the usual....lose weight :)
We will see how the year progresses, but I am excited to put some "future" into my life. Hard transition...past to future. The present is the key.
Welcome
